I make music and sounds for theatre, dance and film.

My work has been described as ‘fantastically evocative, haunting, melodic & uplifting’, ‘eclectic, often strange and always wonderful’.

I’m highly collaborative and very experienced across a broad depth of genres and contexts. The diversity of my output reflects the philosophy of my working practice: I approach every project as an opportunity to discover how I can use music and sound to support the story being told.

I’ve toured and recorded widely as a musician, working across styles ranging from singer songwriter, indie, pop and folk to contemporary classical, experimental jazz and industrial techno.

As composer and sound designer, notable collaborations include numerous productions with award winning theatre makers Gecko, Tom Morris, Rich Rusk, Melly Still and Requardt & Rosenberg and projects with Akram Khan, Evelyn Glennie and Arthur Pita.

I’ve worked extensively with producer Matt Hales and his band Aqualung contributing drums, percussion and strings to a range of recording projects and international tours.
Other notable music collaborations include Finn Peters, Gwyneth Herbert, Najakotiva, Noszferatu and projects with Eska Mtungwazi, Regina Spector, Duke Special, Tom Chaplin and Bellowhead.

These experiences give me a deep perspective and a unique understanding of how the commercial world intersects with highly creative arthouse productions.

I produce recorded soundtracks, live scores and sound designs for projects around the world from my studio in Bristol, often using bespoke combinations of traditional and non-standard instrumentation with electronic manipulation to create emotive, detailed and finely crafted productions.

I can interpret both specific and abstract briefs and deliver high quality work quickly.
